BIO:

Malay was born into a family that escaped from the communist regime in Cambodia and fled to America. He grew up watching Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and even the Ninja Turtles. From that instant, Malay fell in love with martial arts. Unfortunately, due to his family’s financial status, he was not able to afford any Martial Arts lessons. So Malay continued watching Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and all the other great Hong Kong action movies, mimicking and learning moves from these masters. Soon enough, Malay joined a Martial Arts club in high school and a senior at the school took him under his wings. His name is Thourn Heng. Thourn taught Malay the arts of Tae Kwon Do, Pradal Serey, and gymnastics and not only became his coach and mentor, but also became his brother. His love for Martial Arts helped him pick up techniques very quickly. He then turned his skills towards live shows and stage performances. This gave Malay a chance to practice his fight choreography, but it wasn’t enough. Using what he had learned from movies, his instructors, and fellow stuntmen, Malay began filming his own short movies. His talent for action choreography is a huge asset to the team. Malay is now currently an instructor at a Tae Kwon Do school in Torrance, but his true passion lies within film and continues to work towards his goal of becoming one of the top Martial Arts action directors.
